Saosin "In Search of Solid Ground" Sept 8

Saosin have set September 8th as the release date for their highly anticipated new album "In Search of Solid Ground", produced by Butch Walker.

In the run-up to the September release, the album will enjoy added advance visibility through an album download card promotion with Alternative Press, with cards sold onsite at the band's merchandise table, AP's Warped Tour tent, and on the magazine's website. The card bundles an AP subscription with a day-of-release album download, delivered by e-mail zip file, and two instant album track downloads, all for $15. Saosin will do numerous signing events at the AP tent through the summer, and banner ads will run online through the period.

Catch Saosin at the Hurley stage on the Vans Warped Tour all summer long.

Blink-182 limited edition tour poster



In honor of the upcoming Blink-182 summer 2009 tour, they have teamed with artist Maxx242 to create a special limited edition silk screened poster for the bands upcoming tour. The poster will be limited to 1,820 pieces with only 30 pieces sold at each show.

Check out the blink 182’s tour dates and request songs for the band to play here.

pickRset founder Chris Siglin explains, "We tried to create really special limited edition items for this tour which will include posters, toys and nightly event t-shirts. Our goal was to do something really unique for all of the fans that they cannot get anywhere else other that at the shows."

More limited edition items will soon be announced.

The Maine release "Can't Stop Won't Stop" deluxe edition

The Maine have released the deluxe edition of their debut album "Can't Stop Won't Stop" on iTunes, including a cover of Def Leppard's "Pour Some Sugar On Me" (preview here).

The deluxe digital edition, which will be released on Fearless Records, features three extra bonus tracks and both of The Maine's music videos. It also includes a 30-minute documentary titled "In Person" which features live performances, backstage footage and band interviews.

The Working Title "Bone Island" out Jul 21

Charleston melodic indie rockers The Working Title will return with their second full length "Bone Island", released independently digitally and brick-and-mortar through RED on July 21st.

Singer/songwriter Joel Hamilton explains: "[We stripped] each song down to the bone and [built] it from the ground up like a bunch of little bone structures that made a skeleton house." With the help of friend and producer Jake Sinclair, the album was recorded in three weeks.

The band released "About Face" in 2006.

Nightmare of You on Ryan's Rock Show

NYC indie band Nightmare of You recently checked in on Ryan's Rock Show. In the video interview, the members talk about their stories from the road, the effects of mainstream media on the American culture and musicians, and their distaste for bands that desperately yearn fame.

"Funny People" soundtrack feat John Lennon, Wilco



The official soundtrack for the upcoming Judd Apatow film "Funny People", in stores July 28th, will be out via Concord Records. Highlights include rare outtakes from John Lennon and Neil Diamond as well as exclusive, new live recordings from James Taylor. Other featured artists on this soundtrack include Paul McCartney, Robert Plant and Warren Zevon.

Limp Bizkit play free Vegas show, Jul 18

Limp Bizkit will be performing a free concert at the Pearl Concert Theater at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas on July 18th, and has teamed up with pickRset.com to let fans decide the show's setlist.
