WORDUP

"Usually I would pass even reading the music blogs that are all Independent Music!!! But this one was actually good because it did not seem like you had to be a scenester knowing the secret handshake to be allowed to read it. They have a good collection of artists from all over the map which is always what I like to see and they have this funny ad running on there site to bring (+44) to Singapore."

Ronnie Day Debut "The Album" In Stores Today

RONNIE DAY DEBUT "THE ALBUM" IN STORES TODAY

Hailing from Redwood City in Northern California, RONNIE DAY is an 18-year-old singer-songwriter who wears his heart, albeit a broken heart, on this sleeve. With well over 70,000 Myspace friends and over 1.6 million plays, Ronnie's debut full-length release, entitled The Album, was produced by American Hi-Fi singer Stacy Jones and Bill Lefler. Ronnie has toured across the country on self-funded tours where he has been fed by fans, given living room floors to sleep on and backyards to play in. A high school graduate at age 16, Ronnie has taught guitar to get through the tough times in between writing, recording and touring. This weekend saw Ronnie's web broadcast on his myspace page, a first-ever event for myspace. Ronnie is the featured artist today on www.drivenfaroff.com and is the "band of the moment" on www.alloy.com. Check out his current interview at www.soundthesirens.com at

O.A.R. SET TO KICK OFF NEW YEAR WITH WINTER TOUR;
JANUARY DATES INCLUDE RETURN TO MADISON SQUARE GARDEN;
ALL-NEW "HEARD THE WORLD" EP HITS iTUNES ON NOVEMBER 21st

(Press Release)

Everfine/Lava/Atlantic recording group O.A.R. has announced details of its upcoming winter tour. The January 2007 concert dates will culminate in a much-anticipated return to New York's world-famous Madison Square Garden, a venue the band sold out earlier this year. O.A.R.'s winter trek will kick off on Thursday, January 18th at Cincinnati's US Bank Arena, then hit the road for shows in Illinois, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Virginia (see attached itinerary). The tour, which will also feature support act Gomez, will conclude in New York City on Saturday, January 27th. Tickets for all dates will go on sale December 2nd.

The Maryland-via-Ohio-based band - which recently reached a milestone moment in their extraordinary career, achieving cumulative record sales in excess of 1.2 million - has also unveiled details of "HEARD THE WORLD," an all-new iTunes-exclusive EP. Set for release on November 21st, the EP features four previously unreleased tracks: a radio edit of the Hot AC hit title track - originally found on 2005's "STORIES OF A STRANGER" - as well as an acoustic take on the top 20 Hot AC smash, "Love and Memories," a demo version of "Lay Down," and a live rendition of "Heard The World," recorded at New York's Nokia Theatre last October.

In other O.A.R. news, the band's companion video clip for "Lay Down" has just been honored with the "Streaming Woodie" - presented to the year's Most Downloaded Video - at this year's mtvU Woodie Awards.

Yusuf Offers "An Other Cup"

YUSUF OFFERS "AN OTHER CUP";
FIRST NEW ALBUM IN NEARLY THREE DECADES
FROM THE FORMER CAT STEVENS OUT THIS WEEK

(Press Release)

Ya/Atlantic has announced the release of "AN OTHER CUP," the long-anticipated new album from Yusuf. This marks the first collection of modern pop songs in 28 years from the legendary British singer/songwriter formerly known as Cat Stevens. The album features the first single, "Heaven/Where True Love Goes."

"AN OTHER CUP" arrives in stores this week amidst a flurry of critical acclaim. Writing in The New York Daily News, Jim Farber lauds the album's "gorgeous melodies, shimmering arrangements and thoughtful vocals," going on to conclude, "How great to hear this sound coming back so profoundly after such a long pause." The Los Angeles Times' Ann Powers calls "AN OTHER CUP" an "exquisitely orchestrated" album that brings back "that vigorous, ruddy-cheeked sound," while pondering, "Can (Yusuf) recapture the welcoming seeker's voice he plied so well in nonsectarian hymns such as 'Morning Has Broken'? The answer gently conveyed here is yes... Such vulnerability brings people together, whatever they believe."

"AN OTHER CUP" - the release of which coincides with the 40th anniversary of Cat Stevens's first hit record, "I Love My Dog" - sees Yusuf joined in the studio by his longtime collaborator, guitarist Alun Davies, as well as such renowned guests as bassist Danny Thompson and the legendary Senegalese singer, Youssou N'Dour. Recorded in London, Los Angeles, Istanbul, and Johannesburg, the album was produced by Yusuf and Rick Nowels (known for his work with a diversity of artists, including Madonna, Nelly Furtado, Dido, and Santana). All the songs were penned by Yusuf, with the exception of a cover of the Nina Simone/Animals classic, "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood."

"I feel right about making music and singing about life in this fragile world again," Yusuf says of his return to the pop music world. "It is important for me to be able to help bridge the cultural gaps others are sometimes frightened to cross."

Tracklisting of "An Other Cup"

1. Midday (Avoid City After Dark)
2. Heaven/Where True Love Goes
3. Maybe There's A World
4. One Day At A Time
5. When Butterflies Leave
6. In The End
7. Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood
8. I Think I See The Light
9. Whispers From A Spiritual Garden
10. The Beloved
11. Greenfields, Golden Sands

Rockstar Taste of Chaos Music Tour Inspires CHAOS MOBILE

MUSIC FESTIVAL FOUNDERS AND MANGO MOBILE CREATE CONTENT PORTAL CELEBRATING POPULAR MUSIC GENRE

(Press Release)

The founders of the Vans Warped Tour and the Rockstar Taste of Chaos tour, along with MangoMOBILE™, a provider of mobile marketing solutions, today announced the launch of CHAOS MOBILE, a new online portal celebrating the lifestyle associated with the popular genre exhibited at the two youth-oriented music tours. Fans can download exclusive and non-exclusive content at www.CHAOSMOBILE.com by purchasing monthly subscriptions or by purchasing on a pay-per-click basis.

MangoMOBILE worked with the Rockstar Taste of Chaos (RTOC) tour's organizers to assemble the content for CHAOS MOBILE, which will contain ringtones, custom voicetones, graphics, video clips, artist profiles and more from the artists who are performing with the tour, as well as mobile content from more than 300 bands that tour fans will appreciate. Because the tour's line-up includes a wide variety of talent and features both household-name headliners and unsigned bands, much of CHAOS MOBILE’s downloadable content is exclusive to the site.

The RTOC tour founders believe today’s young adults to be empowered by technology, asserting that the method in which they receive information is just as important as the content itself. With at least 55% of 13- to 24-year-olds regularly sending and receiving text messages (M:Metrics, August 2006), mobile is a natural avenue for providing content to the youth audience that gravitates to the RTOC.
